"I
could never have dreamt that there were such goings-on
in the world between the covers of books,
such sandstorms and ice blasts of words...
such staggering peace, such enormous laughter,
such and so many blinding bright lights...
splashing all over the pages
in a million bits and pieces
all of which were words, words, words,
and each of which were alive forever
in its own delight and glory and oddity and light."

Reading
club activities were challenging but a rewarding venture.
This
week we decided to become creative and extract creativity from the young adults
of the reading clubs. We took a written feedback from the students, who
were a little sad on Term1 being over so soon.
Their
feedback was their expression , their feelings and sharing of their experience
on the reading club.
The
second activity actually set the expertise of the young reading club members
flowing when they were asked to become real authors and face interviews from
their own young friends who became journalists.
While we
teachers decided to become sponsors of a leading Advertising Agency who would
sponsor the interview to be aired on a local Television channel. It was fun.
The
questionnaire was prepared and the interview was done. We could see Vadim come
out as a real author and facing the journalists as a true professional,
likewise Amaan faced the journalists and answered their questions with equal
enthusiasm. Shenura, Zayan, Samaira, Fatima , Vania and Hannah were simply at
their best as professional journalists.
