Celebrating Literacy in Year 4

 

 

The Winchester School celebrated the fun filled Literacy week from  January 11^th to 15^th, 2015.

Activities, catering to all students, were planned and organised to occur during registration time and English lessons. The students particularly enjoyed participating in all the events.

Students were excited and curious to know what event would occur next. Year 4’s had three Registration time activities, the first one was Cross word and Word search of different difficulty level with a cross curricular link with science.

Second, there was the House quiz based on English Grammar, the winning house was awarded house points. Lastly the Hangman activity, in which clues were provided and they had to guess the word.

Students enthusiastically took part in all the activities. Furthermore, we also had author visits and appreciation for our students who were deemed to be Super spellers, Voracious reader sand Bright Stars.
